Is acupuncture safe?
Acupuncture is generally safe when performed by a qualified, registered acupuncturist using sterile, single-use needles. At Novelia Wellness, your comfort and safety are priorities throughout every treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments depends on your individual health concerns, goals, and response to acupuncture. Some clients notice improvements after a few sessions, while others may benefit from ongoing care. Your acupuncturist will discuss a personalized treatment plan during your consultation.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Most clients experience minimal discomfort during acupuncture. The needles are extremely fine, and you may feel a slight tingling, warmth, or dull sensation during treatment. Many people find their sessions deeply relaxing.
Is acupuncture covered by insurance?
Many extended health insurance plans in Ontario include coverage for acupuncture performed by a registered acupuncturist. Coverage varies by provider and policy. Novelia Wellness offers direct billing with participating insurance providers, where available.
